Course Overview:
By your second month of hire, you may already be delving into programming, perhaps shadowing a colleague. We support your programming efforts with an overview of our impact areas, followed by modules that support our program development model: needs assessment, program  delivery, marketing your programs and evaluating and reporting impact.

Module 1 MU Extension Program Structure and Leadership
In Module 1, you'll watch videos by our Vice Chancellor, Chad Higgins, and program directors introducing you to our programming structure,  efforts and impacts.

Module 2 Know Your County. Know Your Audience.
Here, you'll learn how to conduct a structured, effective needs assessment process that will capture and allow for assessment of your engagement activities. You will begin conducting a needs assessment in your assigned counties.

Module 3 Effective Extension Education
Effective Extension Education is designed to facilitate your delivery of Extension programs. You'll discover how to avoid common program delivery pitfalls,  how to facilitate active learning, engage your audience and create an inclusive learning environment. You'll also discover keys to working with adults, access facilitation tips and resources, and incorporate continuous program delivery improvement.

Module 4 Market Your Programs
This module covers everything from flyers to social media, and more; the essentials of program marketing. You'll also learn about the multitude of Integrated Communications and Marketing resources and how to access them.

Module 5 Program Evaluation and Reporting
Modules 5's focus is program evaluation, our reporting system, communicating evaluation data to participants, councils and administrators. Everything you need to know to evaluate your programs and report your impact.
