Course Overview:
Genetic and genomic technologies are transforming how veterinarians support herd management and breeding decisions in beef cattle. This course features a recorded webinar presented by Dr. Jamie Courter, state beef genetics extension specialist. She explains practical applications of DNA testing and EPDs, clarifies calving ease traits, and demonstrates how economic selection indexes can guide breeding strategies that improve herd performance and profitability.
