Course Introduction
Canvas Quick Start is a self-paced professional development course for MU Extension instructors and course developers who are building a new Canvas course, revising an existing course, or wanting a structured refresher on effective online course design.
This course guides you step by step through the process of creating an organized, accessible, and learner-centered online course. You will explore practical strategies, examples, and templates while applying what you learn directly to your own Canvas development course.
Topics include course homepage design, module organization, instructor presence, accessible learning materials, DesignPLUS, engaging activities and assessments, multimedia, and course review.
