Course Overview:

This site is not a traditional course. This is a place for faculty to submit evidence of specific competencies to earn badges. This site does not teach content. However, for each topic, we link to curated resources for you to explore, learn and prepare. 


 
Learning Outcomes:

Learners who successfully pass the assessments and complete the assignments in this certificate program will be able to:

  • Design for equity, diversity, and inclusion in virtual learning environments.  
  • Demonstrate mastery of four teaching technologies: Canvas, Panopto, Zoom and PowerPoint.
  • Integrate quality design principles and alignment into programs.
  • Integrate media design principles into images and media.
  • Develop strategies for student engagement and motivation.
  • Integrate accessibility design into online courses, media, documents and files.
  • Apply learning science to program design.
  • Incorporate strategies for continuous program improvement.
  • Demonstrate effective selection of program delivery mode based on audience and outcomes.

 
Topics:

This program is divided into four tracks. Each track includes multiple milestones. Successfully mastering each track will culminating in a badge.
