Course Overview:
This self-paced course features modules on the unique role of the Specialty Practice of School Nursing, Health Office Management, Students with Special Healthcare Needs, and Health Promotion, Disease Prevention, and Screening. This course is an invaluable asset for new school nurses or school nurses-to-be, ensuring the highest quality of care in their educational communities. 

 
Learning Outcomes:
At the conclusion of this learning activity, we anticipate learners successfully completing all modules will gain:
 
1. Improved knowledge regarding the roles and responsibilities of the school nurse
2. Improved readiness to practice nursing in the school setting

 
Topics:
1. Introduction to Specialty Practice of School Nursing (53 minutes)
2. Health Office Management (1 hr., 40 minutes)
3. Students with Special Health Care Needs (1 hr., 3 minutes)
4. Health Promotion Disease Prevention and Screening (1 hr., 30 minutes)
