Course Overview:
This course provides a foundation of the concepts, principles, and managerial issues of the operations function in manufacturing and service organizations. Emphasis is on the planning, scheduling, and controlling of operations, including the application of quantitative methods to the solution of strategic, tactical, and operational level problems. 
 
This is an online asynchronous course.

Students will be able to:
  • demonstrate the knowledge of the concepts, processes, and institutions that are fundamental
  • to an understanding of manufacturing and service operations within organizations;
  • identify the key drivers and managerial levers of operational performance;
  • apply quantitative methods to the solution of strategic, tactical and operational problems
