Course Overview:
This course examines the concepts, processes, and institutions, which are fundamental to an understanding of the supply chain management in a global environment.
Topics:
Topics covered in this course include
(1) supply chain strategic framework,
(2) inventory management,
(3) supply chain coordination,
(4) sourcing decisions,
(5) transportation in a supply chain,
(6) supply chain network design, and
(7) planning and coordinating demand and supply.
Course Materials:
- Required text- Supply Chain Management by Sunil Chopra, 7th edition, 2019 Pearson. Select to purchase text through Mizzou Store.
- Each student must also purchase a license to The Fresh Connection Supply Chain Simulation Program (https://my.inchainge.com) for $78.75.
- Excel will be used in this course.
- Other course materials are available through Canvas.
